I am 26 years old, from Iowa and had moved to St. Louis to enter a recovery addiction program for women at the St. Louis Dream Center 3 years ago. After struggling from alcohol addiction for 7 years, a deadly drug addiction for 4 and also involved in prostitution, I finally came to an end and knew I needed help. I met Tracy from the Dream Center because she came and taught classes there and really spoke into my life.

At first, I was angry, broken, very insecure, suffered severe depression and had no idea who I was or where I belonged. Being at the Dream Center where people poured into my life daily, including Tracy, I learned that I was loved, that I did matter and that my life was valuable and I was purposely placed here on this earth for a reason. My life has drastically changed from the inside out and I thank God for everything He has done and how He took me from destruction and lifted my head and turned me into a completely different person I never would've seen or been without Him, so that I can now go out and share how Jesus set me free and help many others in the same situation I used to be in.

Tracy later became more of a mentor and now is like a spiritual mom who cares and is always there to speak Godly wisdom into my life and just there to love me no matter what. I really admire how Tracy always kept it real and knew what she was talking about. She has a lot of wisdom and knowledge, not just from books, but through her own experiences and God's transformation in her own life. She and her husband have opened their home several times for me to stay and always open their home for anyone that needs somewhere to go, whether just a safe place to go to, or they just need someone to talk to. I really admire their love and compassion for others and they have taught me through their love and seeing them live it out, the true meaning of sacrafice for others and daily living for the Kingdom of God!

They have touched many upon many of lives and will always continue for eternity whether it's a child who needs someone to help them, to a clerk at the store. Everywhere they go, they leave an imprint on hearts which is truly the heart of God!

My Friend Tracy Strawberry: The best way I can describe Tracy is through the Virtous Woman Proverbs (31:10-31).

10Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. 11Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. 12She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. 14She is like a merchantís ship, bringing her food from afar. She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the dayís work for her servant girls. 16She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. 18She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night. 19Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber. 20She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. 21She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes. 22She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns. 23Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders. 24She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants. 25She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. 26When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. 27She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. 28Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: 29There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!î 30Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.

I have had the pleasure and opportunity to see all of this in action. When I met Tracy I was going through a very difficult time in my life. She and her husband invited my son and I into their home. That was the begining of my healing. She has a home of healing. She exemplifies everything she speaks about. I am much stronger now and know that there is nothing impossible for God. I believe they should have added one more line to the virtous woman and said that, "Her friends bless her!" Never will you meet a more upfront, caring, loving wise woman of God. (P.S. Watching Tracy in action is like seeing The Virtous Woman in Living Color).

"Tracy Strawberry hit a home run at Pocono Community Church when she and her husband, Darryl, shared their compelling story of God's unwavering grace in the face of trails and tribulations. Tracy has a unique voice to women who find themselves battling addiction, low self-esteem and spiritual complacency. We are looking forward to having Tracy come back and speak at our upcoming Women's Conference."
